BBIX and BBSakura Launch “Internet Gateway” for Open Connectivity eXchange
BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX, will launch “Internet Gateway” for the Open Connectivity eXchange (“OCX”) cloud-based network service on April 19, 2024.
“Internet Gateway” provides a connection from the OCX network, which is a closed network, to the Internet with a Network Address Translation (NAT)* function. By using “Internet Gateway,” up to approximately 62,000 NAT sessions can be created for each NAT global IP address assigned, enabling customers to connect to the Internet on demand without the need for a NAT router.
*NAT is a technology that mutually converts private IP addresses and global IP addresses to connect to the Internet.
BBIX and BBSakura will continue to provide more convenient services and functions to build a network cloud infrastructure that enables Digital Transformation (DX) and supports communication environments in the multi-cloud era.
