BBIX to Launch New IX Point “BBIX Singapore No. 4” at STT Singapore 5 Data Centre
BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that conducts an Internet Exchange (IX) business, will launch a new IX point, “BBIX Singapore No. 4” at ST Telemedia Global Data Centres’ (“STT GDC”) STT Singapore 5 data centre (“STT Singapore 5”), and provide its “Smart IX” service* starting from October 2023.
BBIX has 3 existing IX points in Singapore. BBIX will expand its 4th IX point at STT Singapore 5, which is located in an area where major network data centres in Southeast Asia are concentrated.
At the new “BBIX Singapore No. 4,” users will be able to connect and exchange traffic with other users by using “Smart IX” service as well as users at other BBIX operated global IX points.
Through the launch of “BBIX Singapore No. 4,” BBIX will continue to provide premium interconnectivity quality with greater cost savings for customers.
* In Singapore, “Smart IX” service is provided by BBIX Singapore Pte. Ltd.
