BBIX and ICC Sign Business Partnership Agreement in Data Center Connectivity Field
～BBIX adding new OCX connection site at ICC’s secure and reliable data center～
BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (“IX”) business, has entered into a business partnership agreement with Ishikawa Computer Center Co., Ltd. (“ICC”) in the field of data center connectivity, and on September 1, 2023, BBIX will add ICC’s Hakusan Data Center (Ishikawa) as an Open Connectivity eXchange (“OCX”) connection site.
OCX is a cloud-based network service provided by BBIX and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX. OCX provides on-demand, highly secure, low-latency, scalable connectivity services to a variety of cloud services and data centers used by customers.
As a system integrator with data center related services, ICC provides customers with secure and reliable services, including network services such as Ethernet WAN and leased lines, the cloud infrastructure service “Vase”, and technical support. ICC celebrated its 50th anniversary in October 2022 and will continue to create new value in its businesses and services by integrating “buildings,” “facilities,” and “people” with its extensive experience.
By combining BBIX and BBSakura’s secure and high-quality OCX with ICC’s IT services and data center services, which has over 50 years of experience and reliability, BBIX will promote DX (Digital Transformation) in both the public and private sectors, and create new businesses by combining telecommunications and IT solutions.
BBIX and BBSakura, together with ICC, will work to expand services to help customers accelerate DX and grow their businesses, and contribute to the realization of an affluent society where people can experience the joy of being connected.
