BBIX and BBSakura Launch Virtual Router Appliance for “Open Connectivity eXchange”
BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX, will launch a new feature called “OCX-Router(v1)” in the “Open Connectivity eXchange” (“OCX”), a cloud-based network service, on November 24, 2022.
“OCX-Router(v1)” is a software-based virtual router appliance that provides IP routing on the OCX network. By using “OCX-Router(v1),” customers will be able to exchange traffic between cloud services or regions within the tenant network without having to go through their on-premise facilities.
BBIX and BBSakura will continue to provide more convenient services and functions to build a network cloud infrastructure that supports DX (Digital Transformation) and supports communication environments in the multi-cloud era.
