BBIX supports Hybrid Network Connections to Google Cloud over its “BBIX Multi-Cloud”

-“BBIX Multi-Cloud” helps connect customers to Google Cloud’s global network-

Tokyo, June, 25th, 2021 – BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”) a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that conducts an Internet Exchange (IX) business, today announced the launch of support for Google Cloud’s Partner Interconnect, a service that allows customers to connect to Google Cloud’s platform globally.

Partner Interconnect is a product in the Google Cloud Interconnect family. Dedicated Interconnect provides higher-speed and lower cost connectivity than VPN, and has become the “go-to” solution to connect on-premise data centers to Google Cloud.

With Partner Interconnect, customers can now choose BBIX to provide connectivity from their facility to the nearest Google edge point of presence. In addition, they will also be able to choose from a variety of wide-band subrate interface speeds varying from 1Gbps to 5Gbps.

The private reachability to Google Cloud via BBIX’s cloud connectivity solution, “BBIX Multi-Cloud”, will support enterprise customers looking to build secure, low latency, and scalable interconnections to the cloud while bypassing the public Internet. BBIX now delivers to its customers more options in private access to major public clouds via its L2 IX, enabling customers to further meet their business needs.
