BBSakura Exhibits in “JAPAN Pavilion” at MWC Barcelona 2025

BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a subsidiary of BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), will exhibit in the “JAPAN Pavilion” at MWC Barcelona 2025, which takes place from March 3 to 6 in Barcelona, Spain.

MWC Barcelona 2025 is one of the world’s largest mobile-related exhibitions. Mobile operators, handset manufacturers and content providers from around the world will be exhibiting, with more than 100,000 visitors expected this year.

The “JAPAN Pavilion” is a special exhibition organized by Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) to showcase the initiatives of Japanese companies and support their global expansion by providing exhibition booths for businesses involved in Japan’s ICT-related products and services. At MWC Barcelona 2025, the pavilion brings together exhibitors from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-up companies in Japan that are focused on the international deployment of ICT technologies aligning with the themes of MWC Barcelona 2025, such as 5G, Beyond 5G (6G), and AI, including hardware, devices, software, and applications related to telecommunications infrastructure. After MIC’s screening and selection of exhibitors based on the novelty of their technologies, BBSakura was selected as one of the exhibitors.

BBSakura will showcase Open Connectivity eXchange (OCX), a cloud-based network service developed in collaboration with BBIX, which enables customers to establish on-demand, highly secure, low-latency, and scalable network connections to cloud services and data centers. In addition, an image of a connection between its in-house developed mobile core and an edge base station will be exhibited as one of the potential approaches for realizing “ultra-fail-safe networks”^*. This initiative is currently being researched with a grant from the Innovative Information and Communications Technology (Beyond 5G (6G)) Fund Project of the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, Japan (NICT).

BBSakura and BBIX will continue to utilize their self-developed mobile core and network cloud services to support a secure, high-quality communications environment.
