Open Connectivity eXchange from BBIX and BBSakura Supports Microsoft Azure Peering Service

BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX, will add Microsoft Azure Peering Service, provided by Microsoft Corporation (“Microsoft”), as a new destination connection for “SaaS Connection” of Open Connectivity eXchange (“OCX”), a cloud-based network service, on October 22, 2024.

Microsoft Azure Peering Service is a networking service that enhances connectivity to Microsoft Cloud services such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure, or any Microsoft service accessible via the public internet. Furthermore, BBIX is one of Microsoft’s official partner providers of connectivity to Microsoft Azure Peering Service.

“SaaS Connection” provides a connection from the closed OCX network to SaaS (Software as a Service) without going through the Internet. “SaaS Connection” thereby enables customers to use Microsoft Cloud in a secure and high-quality communication environment via Microsoft Azure Peering Service.

BBIX and BBSakura will continue to expand their services to support customers, accelerate DX (Digital Transformation) and grow their businesses in the multi-cloud era.
