Open Connectivity eXchange Supports “SmartVPN Connection”
BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. (“SoftBank”) that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX, will launch “SmartVPN Connection” on the Open Connectivity eXchange (“OCX”), a cloud-based network service, on September 30, 2024.
“SmartVPN Connection” is a function that enables OCX use via “SmartVPN” by interconnecting the OCX network service with “SmartVPN,” a VPN service provided by SoftBank.
Until now, using OCX via “SmartVPN” required on-premise facilities at the OCX connection point. With “SmartVPN Connection,” customers using “SmartVPN” will be able to use OCX through simple operations on a dedicated portal site.
BBIX and BBSakura will continue to provide more convenient services and functions to build a network cloud infrastructure that enables Digital Transformation (DX) and supports communication environments in the multi-cloud era.
