BBIX and BBSakura Launch “SaaS Connection” for Open Connectivity eXchange

A wide variety of SaaS offerings will be available in a high-quality communication environment

BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX, will launch “SaaS Connection” for Open Connectivity eXchange (“OCX”), cloud-based network service on September 26, 2024, which enables the use of various SaaS (Software as a Service) offerings in a high-quality communication environment.

“SaaS Connection” provides a connection from the closed OCX network to SaaS without going through the Internet. “SaaS Connection” thereby enables customers to use SaaS in a secure and quality communication environment. This will promote the use of SaaS to meet the needs of customers in various fields and industries, including government agencies and local governments.

The “SaaS Connection” will first support SaaS (kintone, Cybozu Office, Garoon, and Mailwise) offerings* from Cybozu, Inc. (“Cybozu”). Cybozu boasts an extensive track record and high reliability in providing the latest cloud-based technologies, helping to realize flexible workstyles and improve project management efficiency. In addition, Cybozu responds to diverse needs by strengthening collaboration with external parties through open innovation.

BBIX and BBSakura will continue to expand the services to support customers, accelerate DX (Digital Transformation) and grow their businesses in the multi-cloud era.
