Open Connectivity eXchange Supports “IBM Cloud”
BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, and BBSakura Networks, Inc. (“BBSakura”), a network solutions provider and subsidiary of BBIX, will add “IBM Cloud,” provided by IBM, as a new connection for “Cloud Connection” in the lineup of Open Connectivity eXchange (“OCX”), a cloud-based network service, on December 20, 2023.
IBM Cloud is a business-oriented public cloud built on open technologies that provides the reliability necessary to run enterprise workloads and the industry’s highest level of data protection across the platform.
Cloud Connection is the virtual interface feature for establishing connections to cloud services via OCX. Cloud Connection provides a highly secure, low latency, and on-demand connection to cloud services, including IBM Cloud.
BBIX and BBSakura will continue to provide more convenient services and functions to build a network cloud infrastructure to help customers accelerate DX (Digital Transformation) and grow their businesses in the multi-cloud era.
