BBIX and Marunouchi Direct Access Sign Business Partnership Agreement in Data Center Connectivity Field
~BBIX to establish OCX connection point in Marunouchi Direct Access’ Otemachi Data Center~
BBIX, Inc. (“BBIX”), a subsidiary of SoftBank Corp. that operates an Internet Exchange (IX) business, has entered into a business partnership agreement with Marunouchi Direct Access Ltd. (“MDA”), and will establish an Open Connectivity eXchange (“OCX”) connection point in “MDA Otemachi Data Center” located in Otemachi, the largest Internet hub in Japan, on November 1, 2022.
OCX is a cloud-based network service provided on BBIX’s IX platform, enabling on-demand access to cloud services and data centers through a dedicated customer portal. In addition, by utilizing MDA’s fiber-optic network in the Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho area, many customers with offices in these areas will be able to access secure, high-quality, and closed network connections with greater ease.
BBIX, together with MDA, will continue to expand its services to help customers accelerate DX (Digital Transformation) and grow their businesses.
